I see that the number of messages on the D group is now greater than that on the C++ group here, after about a week!  I wonder if the D group will need dividing when the compiler comes out, to separate the ideas debate from developing examples and reporting difficulties.

I think you are right about that. As a matter in fact I wonder if it would
make sense to divide the group already... I discussed this with Walter when
I created the group on his request, but for at that moment we decided that
just one group would be fine for the time being. However, that that moment
was nor forseen that we would get Slashdotted!!!
I wonder what Walter's idea's are on this at this moment.

Oh, volume will die out now that the slashdot is over. When the compiler comes out, there should be another group for bugs, etc. -Walter

I think we already have too many groups now. I'm also reading other newsgroups and there a group is splitted only if there is too much traffic on subjects that could be debated in a (not yet existing) group. With messages below 50 a day per group a split isn't necessary.
