I have repeatedly found myself in the situation that I had a patch for some aspect of Phobos, but no "official" way to request inclusion in the Phobos mainline except for posting it somewhere and hoping somebody would eventually pay attention to it and give me some feedback along the lines of "Yes", "No", "No for this and that reason", "Yes if you change this part", etc.
As I'm sure many of you are aware, this approach has not met with overwhelming success in the past. :)
Because of this, I'd like to request the creation of an outline, a series of steps and best practices to follow when creating a patch for Phobos/DMD, as well as some sort of quick feedback mechanism.
By this I don't mean that a decision has to be made within 24h after posting my request, just _some_ kind of reaction along the lines of "Yes I have seen your post, and will take this in consideration eventually. Except some response within four weeks or so." (yeah, I'm optimistic)

What do you think?

PS: By the way, is there any way to query dsource for the list of people that have commit access to some project? Might be a useful addition :)
