Some posters on reddit remarked that D's sales pitch on the website is unnecessarily long and unindicative.

I'm only making a suggestion; suggest others or comment on this one:

D is a multiparadigm systems programming language with excellent static introspection that lets you choose exactly what to pay for. <optional>D is a joy to write and easy to maintain: it's systems scripting with native performance.</optional>

Turned out too long :/

"D is the crack heroin of programming language. The first dose is free."

The short one is "Modern convenience. Modeling power. Native efficiency."

I agree that "static introspection" should be mentioned in some form.

I'd remove the "joy to write and easy to maintain" bit. That's personal opinion.

Could use the "Systems scripting with native performance" as a tag line though. It's nice!

My, slightly altered, version:
D is a multiparadigm systems programming language with deep static introspection that lets you choose exactly what to pay for.

Systems scripting.
Native performance.

Seems like the sound byte has become the "we can't read that sentence, it is too long, and contains insufficient mispelt words". One does wonder at the attention span of the post-texting generation, seems like about 3ms. The human race is doomed.

Maybe something like "Low level performance through High level introspection"?

I like the idea but find it a bit bold... Maybe something in the line of:

“Efficiency, expressivity, the first dose is free.” (which even silently rhymes with “D” which is good from a advertising point of view)
