That's the other side of the coin.  The combination of quality and portability really is lacking for subversion-based tools.  Especially when compared to offerings for more mature technologies like CVS.

yah i had the same problems with tortoise and threw it away for a long time, but the latest version is pretty cool.

I agree but I do not have that problem personally - i am using "svn" on both platforms. Mostly because GUIs allways are missing something svn, console client, has for years... :)
