When ever I run Empire it just brings my entire system down.
This is a pity as I think Empire, as I recall it from the eighties,
was the bast game around, and for me still is.

Any suggestions

Are you using the official version, my bug-fixed version or some other?  Does the same happen with my version ("Stewart's D version" link in the navigation column)?
