Looks like it's going to be a fun conference with that and the rest of the lineup!

I do like some of the additions C++11 has, like closures for example.

But I do feel the same, the standard just has become too complex to master and to some extent,
vendors might just cherry pick some of the features, as Microsoft is again doing in their implementation.

Holy hell, it looks as if there were missing decimal points in those prices! (Yea, normal for conferences, I know...) I was slightly hopeful because there's a *slight* chance I may be able to make it across the pond to Surrey on...well...some yet-unknown date in 2012, but that totally ends the possibility of getting out to the conference ;)

ACCU gives authors the rights to publish their articles independently if they so wish.

You need to be an ACCU member to get them. I assume you're looking for your article? I just had a look and it doesn't seem to have been published yet (only Jonathan and David's articles have been). I got a emailed by Steve before they started putting together the magazine to ask for a bio, I assume you will too.

Steve seemed to be OK with sending a digital and paper copy without membership given that my article was in there, he should be able to do the same for you (admittedly, I joined the ACCU as it's pretty cheap for students).
