Maybe because people reading it do not know what context is. I have seen post on reddit not understanding that answer was written in 2015 and treating it like it was written yesterday.

D doesn't have a large installed base out in the world, so their reluctance to make breaking changes seems misplaced – D's only real long-term play is adoption from new users, so focusing on not perturbing incumbent users is strange. As a new user I've already found 2/3 issues that seem to me like the should have been added 3 years ago, but they have been postponed since 2018 & 2019, without any activity since. |
