Hey all,

I was quite astonished that the dlang.io domain was still available.

I imagine it could be used to host non-official user projects and give them a fancy name.

FYI the main website dlang.io currently redirects to dlang.org, but if anyone has a better use case for it - let me know!

So if anyone is interested in this offer for a subdomain (e.g. your-awesome-project.dlang.io), just ping me (seb [at] wilzba [dot] ch) - I am more then happy to help you ;-)

dub.pm is also still available and I would buy it if I had 12€/year. Would still be cool having dub there because "pm" already sounds like package manager :D

A few off that make sense to be reserved:

* code.dlang.io: code.dlang.org
* forum.dlang.io: forum.dlang.org
* (etc)

* science.dlang.io: dlangscience.github.io/
* derelict.dlang.io: github.com/DerelictOrg
* vibe.dlang.io: vibed.org (maybe web.dlang.io, but perhaps that's overstepping some bounds?)

Added them all as URL redirects (except web) - thanks :)

In case I should add 'A'/'CNAME' records or other domains, let me know.

AFAIK those three letter domains are reserved to cities etc. - at least I get the following error and my tech support told me that I can't register it because it is reserved. Has someone else had more luck?

(invalid contact [ownercontact (invalid attribute value syntax
x-fr-registrant-birth-place)])

.pm is restricted to residents of the european economic area. If you are in there try getting it on https://www.gandi.net/, it says its available there.

Also you should be able to register any free domain name which has >= 3 characters, you dont need to be a city or something for that

Wow you were right - it really worked with Gandi ... weird.
I really love D - so here's my sponsorship for the dub.pm :) :)

Let's move forward with this issue at dub's issue tracker?
