How do I get on that? I don't use slack. When I went there, it seems pretty closed unless you know the right address.

Many contributors hang in the #dmd #druntime #phobos #dub #ci #gdc and other channels as it is a quick way to get feedback on something one is working on, or to raise attention to something urgent (like a failing test on one of the CIs).
