It looks as if you can register with PayPal without a credit card for
Germany. Some international countries will support local bank account.
But you stll have to register with PayPal.
BTW, I find the process with Paypal a bit complicated for non-US
citizens. Im still not sure if I shall go through this PayPal stuff.

Money orders or international cheques are much to high cost, at least in germany. It's possible that the banks charge $10 fees. That's much too much.

Just ordered my copy through paypal international and the order went through without any problem. It should work therefore for all other international customers as well (I am in Canada and as far as paypal is concerned I am "international").

If anybody has problems ordering, go to www.paypal.com and register BEFORE following the link on www.digitalmars.com that takes you there.

Paypal has a rather twisted registration process but don't let that confuse you, it will work in the end.

I know everybody wants new features so now it is time to do something to help the author!

Sent my order in through PayPal last night (already a registered PayPal victim...er, user...and live in the USA to boot!) Can you give me a heads-up when it ships out so I know to look for it?

I have had problems before trying to send relatively small amounts of money to the U.S.A. I guess, Walter, that a cheque in pounds sterling will be difficult for you to cash without a lot of expense.

I could go and get three ten dollar bills and send them.

What's that? 30$ in cash? That could be a possibility for me too.

Seen that. But wy must I register with PayPal to send money. As I read
on there page I will also be able to get money!
But all I want is to pay som money. If the registration is for security
reasons they could delay thepayment for some weeks when thepayment is
confirmend by the card company.

It should be easier! I think that there are other credit card payment services for small amounts. I can't remember a specific one but I have used such a service for registering a shareware packages before (can't remember which one).

Right, I'm with that product since Zortech 1.07 and always liked Walters support!

Ther should be other companies providing a similar service for you without _us_ to go through a complicated registering process. Maybe contacting Visa/MC can help to find such a service provider?

I'm not sure how secure sending cash is. If it's paked good enough so that noone could see that's cash in the envelope could be also an alternative? For $30 the risk of loosing it is not too high ;-)

I tried both propay and billpoint, which advertised such services. After signing up, they admitted that they didn't actually have it. grrrr.
