What language will be used to code D in? C :-)))

Excuse my ignorance but I have idea about compiler design. What do people normally use to write a compiler in?

How do they create an executable from a file???

Tim,

As far as I know 'Digital Mars D' is being developed in 'Digital
Mars C/C++'.
So the code generator that generates the code in 'D' is also the
code generator that generated 'D'... <g>
