Hi,

Since Digitalmars has expertise in C++ and D it can release the compiler project such that:
 - separate grammar definition
 - parser
 - compile to intermediate like LLVM but using the Digitalmars infrastructure

This will help other language projects re use this technology.

Digitalmars (i.e. Walter Bright) is a big part of D development but it is primarily a community driven open-source project.
