after commenting out that line, then lots of errors like:

You should probably mention your problem in the DUI forum (http://www.dsource.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=45).

It might also be helpful to mention the version of DMD or GDC you're using and what flavor of Linux and some other info about your system.

DMD on Linux can compile successfully.
GDC 0.9 can't. (gcc-3.4, Gentoo, 2.6.7-gentoo-r11)
