As many of you know, Andrew was called back to service and sent to Iraq. He sent me a nice note asking me to forward his greetings to his fellow D colleagues. I wish him well, and hope he'll be able to rejoin us here soon!

Good to hear from him! I wish him the best and also hope he returns soon and safely. I'd like to email him again sometime, but I think I've lost his email address. I'll see what I can dig up. He's a good guy.

I see ... so this d.D.announce is for personal announcements as well as D project announcements.

Stewart.

That's ok with me - as long as it doesn't get out of hand. Unfortunately the "get out of hand" part is subjective. It reminds of a practice here at work where someone got sick of getting "team spam" so we started sending him an email notice whenever we got up to get a drink or go to the bathroom or a meeting. That lasted a couple of days until we decided the guy had a point :-)
