Why D is not self hosting language?
I mean, could be front end (for example) written in D? And backend too?

It's in a FAQ: http://www.prowiki.org/wiki4d/wiki.cgi?action=browse&id=FaqRoadmap&oldid=FAQ#Self-CompilingCompiler
