Hi, I have the DM CD and I thought I remembered the resource studio working at some point. I have winXP now and after installing DM the resource studio menu option etc. just 'do nothing' . If I open the tutorial TMLREAD and double-click on the rc file; the pop-up asks if I would like to use resource studio to edit. I click yes and nothing happens. If I run the .exe file for resource studio. The gui pops up and I can open the .rc file. It seems like the link between the idde and the executable does not work and there are no error/messages given. I'm surprised nobody else has seen this problem. Can anyone give me a hand? thanks, Jason |

Posted in reply to Jason | What I found that works is to go back to the Symantec version of the Resource Editor. http://personal5.iddeo.es/ret007ow/resedit.zip Unzip everything into the DM directory tree, with the exception of the MFC DLLs.
