Having a new D , Tango, DSS ( the latest  release of course),  A tool  like  TIOPORT and because of TIOPORT: having a need for MANGO, but sometimes Phobos is needed because the lack of  std.??? Congratulations ... YOU WIN ..  A minimum of 100 hours of wasted time.

Stay tuned . The challenge just begins .

Have you had a look at tangobos?  It enables you to use phobos and tango together.

For the SWT examples, please try an svn update, and see the README.
