The videos will come... later. It'll be several weeks. However, I've posted the slides for all but one presentation (I don't have the latest copy yet).

Walter took some pictures which I'll post on the website once I get a copy of them. I hope someone writes up a nice event summary (hint hint).

Thanks, Brad, for the quick post.

As was frequently reported at the conference, we all owe Brad (and Amazon) a great big thank you for making it all happen. He was very busy. The conference was very well organized and run very well. (At least as far as we could see -- maybe Brad was sweating bullets!)

Wow.

Just, wow.

Thank-you:

Brad for organizing and doing all the work preparing for the conference, and for being MC and keeping everything on schedule and focussed. Brad was always first to arrive and last to leave.

Amazon for providing their premier conference room with the incredible view, and financing the food, and providing video services.

The speakers for putting time into preparing presentations for our education and entertainment.

The attendees who came from near and far, including several who came all the way from europe!

My sense is that everyone had a good time (I certainly did). It was fun to finally put faces to all the names.

As other people said, thanks!

There is a slightly newer vertion of my slides at

http://www.uidaho.edu/~shro8822/code_examples.zip

they are the ones I used for my talk, the ones that are posted are the set I sent to Brad a few days before.

I've placed the final version of my presentation on dsource:

I pulled the ppt file out of the zip and have posted both of them on the conference website, so the traffic will go to amazon's s3 servers rather than your university account.

... which is now linked to from the conference website.

I have to mirror everything Walter said since he beat me to it. :)

Amazon surpassed my expectations when my second line manager, who attended several of the talks, told me to just expense everything.

This conference wouldn't have been possible with out each of the speakers and attendees. Talking to an empty room is no fun, nor is staring at a blank screen. So, while I'll gladly accept some praise, we're all responsible for it having been a success.

Pardon me now, while I go to sleep for about a week.

Thanks again,
Brad

Thanks

I don't think my web space would mind the traffic, but it's nice to know I won't have to worry.

(any way I can get stats at some point?)
