This could be a forgery. Sounds out of character for Janice, and it was posted from KNode, which Janice doesn't usually use.

<sigh>

That post's User-Agent header matches exactly the one in Ty Tower's posts.

User-Agent: KNode/0.10.4

The punctuation is also completely awful, which is a dead giveaway.

Not to mention a double post, which Ty seems to be good at.

That said someone is playing with the posts I think, so who has access to do this? I use Web-News

**** I DID NOT POST THIS *****

Yes, it is a forgery. I abhor prejudice and bigotry in any context. As far as I'm concerned, the existence of forged posts is one big argument in favor of a moderated forum (which I would gladly join in a heartbeat).

Indeed.

I was arguing against a moderated forum when it came up before (mostly because I'm cool with off-topic posts), but after all this stuff, I'm beginning to change my mind.

The bizarre and oddly interesting thing is that I have never argued with Mr Tower, nor had any conversation with him at all. But I did make a post on this thread stating that inflammatory remarks aimed at one particular racial/national group, sexual orientation, etc, are entirely unwelcome here. (Or indeed, anywhere). Seems that was enough to make be a target. I wonder why? Ho hum.

Oh for a forum with login credentials! :-)
