Here's a question for a lighthearted Saturday - you ever see characters from the Muppet Show hanging around the NG?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Muppets-FullCast.jpg

* There's Kermit; frontman and manager, valiantly struggling to keep the show together: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kermit_the_Frog

* The inscrutable Swedish Chef was present at one time: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swedish_Chef

* There's at least one of Statlet & Waldorf, up there in the balcony, calling out the BS as it occurs: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statler_%26_Waldorf

* There's a Miss Piggy, primping and strutting, replete with a dramatic brush-back of the hair: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_Piggy

* Sam the Patriot: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_the_Eagle

* Rizzo the Rat: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rizzo_the_Rat

* We have occasional "guest appearances", such as a recent one from the Script-Kiddie Killer with his Death-Threats and Nazi Uniform

* Can't leave out Dr Bunsen Honeydew: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr_Bunsen_Honeydew

Any more?

:)

Who am I? Beaker, the victim of poorly designed expedients or maybe Bunsen, the perpetrator of said experiments?

(Don't worry, it nigh on impossible to hurt my feelings with facts ;)

hehehe

The fun thing about a Muppet comparison is that the puppets were intended to convey a sense of everyday caricature - people in real life who fit the role/mask rather well. I'm sure each of us can come up with a handful of matches (ng persona <=> muppet), but it would be the overlap of common choices that might get the best laugh

Might be a tad non-PC to publish such matches, but there's perhaps a bit of shared amusement in thinking about it. Gave me a giggle, at least, especially when considering some of the more dramatic Muppet personas :-)

First, this reply is intended in good humor, as I believe the OP was. Save the flames :)

Second, I can't believe you resisted the urge to Subject this post:

"D Muppet Show"

I applaud your self-restraint to obvious cheese.

Obviously the Tango team as a whole, the only sane one running around amidst the crazies trying to bring order to the show. :)

This _has_ to be Walter! I can completely see his creations being the result of insanity at times :). I have this mental image of Walter holding up the poor Enum chicken in one hand with the "I define words at a whim" cleaver in the other. Poor chicken! He looks positively scared to death! :)

That's about it for now.
