I believe the Moodle system isn't used to restrict access to resources per se, as many lecturers put their teaching materials on their websites as well/instead. Moodle allows tutors to (amongst other features) keep track of which students are enlisted to their courses, perform online quizes and share resources with students. It will then highlight what the new resources are (personally for each student) and which are useful for a particular section of the course.
There's no univ rule that says that teachers should not share their resources, it's just that Moodle is usually a convenience.

What are the plans for providing presentation material and recorded video of what happens at the conference?  I'd love to go, but can't.  I look forward to reviewing what went on at the event.
