I have offered to host this for Walter in the past.  It's a standing offer for DMD and Phobos.  When he wants to do more development publicly (say, after 1.0), the offer will still be there.  If he never does, no problem ... we'll still have D to play with.

BTW, David, feel free to contact me if you want space on dsource.org for GDC.  Subversion (and eventually Trac) can hold any type of project.
