By the way, I'm using Windows so I don't know how to do a 'patch' file. I don't know of any Microsoft supplied tool distributed with XP that creates patch files. Any idea of how I can do this?

Use SVN. I'm assuming you got the .dd files that way. I think the command line tools will do it and I know tortoiseSVN can. It even tags the result with the version it's off of.
