I just want to suggest to the LDC guys that it might be a nice idea to have
the installer offer to install VisualD if it detects VisualStudio installed
on the system like DMD does.
This is a really simple improvement to one of those first-five-minutes
nuisances.

Wait, "the installer" ? Afaik there is no LDC installer.

Sounds like a good starting point :)
Refit the DMD installer and offer it alongside the archives?

Why not add ldc as an option in the existing installer?
