I will be presenting a comparison of D and C++. RSVP so that we know how much food to order:

  https://www.meetup.com/ACCU-Bay-Area/events/263679081/

It will not be streamed live but some people want to record it; so, it may appear on YouTube soon.

As always, I have way too many slides. :) The contents are

- Introduction
- Generative programming with D
- Thousand cuts of D
- C++ vs. D
- Soapboxing

The four-part video starts with the following one, which includes a link to the slides:

my English is not very well, so I see English videos with auto-generated subtitles (in English too), but for this video default subtitle language is Dutch. and Google generator doesn't show me any subtitle cuz real language is English.
idk how to change auto-generated language from my side. I can find only change auto-translate but main lang is wrong, !Dutch, so auto-translate doesn't help. maybe u try to change default lang of video from your side, for video itself?

totally:
1st part of video has Dutch(auto generated) subtitle. - bad
2nd and 4th parts of video hasn't button "Subtitle" at all. - bad
3rd part has subtitle in English. - ok

Apparently mine is not either. My wife was hearing the video from a distance and saying it sounded exactly like Turkish when she could not distinguish the words. The sad part is, I agree. :)

Will fix.

Thank you,

Really a pitty that the audio is really, really bad. It's interesting enough to put up with it, but I had to crank up the knob to 11 to barely be able to ujnderstand what you were saying.

Yep. :/ Still, it's a win that one session of this meetup group that does not normally record their meetings ended up having been recorded.

I'm not talking about your pronunciation, I'm talking about automatically tracking videos with auto-generated subtitles, Google AI can generate it for videos.

No subtitles for 3 parts currently set - 1,2,4.

I didn’t upload videos myself on YouTube, so I don’t know how to correctly add auto-generated subtitles, but maybe next article will help you https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-add-subtitles-to-youtube-4767250
