Apologies for the lack of process on this. Walter and I discussed that we need to improve our capacity, and he was a bit hasty in just adding the people.

The process should be:

1. Ask the people involved if they're interested in the promotion

2. Collect votes from the other core members

3. Announce the decision

At this point the people involved are strong enough to be unimpeachable, and we're small enough to make the need obvious, so the process looks like more overhead than it's worth. But we should abide to it for the sake of establishing the correct protocols for the future. Will announce results soon.

This time I'm not going to care about the process and just say: great! We really do need more contributors and these guys are pretty obvious.
