I've just downloaded and installed the "Digital Mars C/C++ Compiler CD
Update Version 8.25", which contains a fix for the IDDE Resource editor.
Unfortunately I still get exactly the same result when trying to open any
of the .RC files in the tutorials suppled with DM:
An untitled error box pops up, saying "abnormal program termination", and
on clicking "OK" an RS32 error box pops up. This reports that "RS32 has
caused an invalid page fault in SMFC30.DLL".
Has any one else had this problem, please ? (before I go on a wild goose
chase, trying to see if there's something wrong with my installation !)

Whoops ! Sorry Walter - I've just set up the Yahoo email address for use
with postings to newsgroups only (in an attempt to keep spam out of my
normal mailbox), but I obviously had a bit of finger trouble when setting
it up !  It should be fixed now.
What did you try to send me ?

I also have the same update, and it works fine for me.  Besides my own MFC projects, I tried with CTRLBARS, which has a pretty complex RC, and it works fine.

What doesn't work is "Class Express" menu entry from RS32 (it works fine from IDDE, so setting focus to IDDE to press Ctrl-W is a minor inconvenient).  Thanks, Walter and Jan!
