I have found that the library source for the _assert function (ASSERT.c)
actually contains code to display a message box showing the module name and
line number of assertion fault when _WINDOWS is defined. In my executables,
however, an assertion fault only produces a message box stating "Abnormal
program termination" and aborts.
Why is this inconformity between the compiled library and provided source?
Is assert behaviour the same for others, or is this possibly some problem on
my end?
I could investigate further by compiling the RTL, but would like to hear the
official stand on this matter beforehand.
