The only thing I know is that Walter usually replies to the person who posted it when he fixes a bug. It's usually something like "I fixed this now." Of course, the bug poster won't get to see until a new DMD is released, but usually that occurs pretty soon after notification is received (matter of days in my experiences).

Walter does this sometimes. Usually it's statements like one of these:
1. It'll be fixed right away.
2. It won't ever be fixed because that's the way it's supposed to be.
3. I'd like to fix it, but I'm not sure what should be done.
Often, he doesn't reply for a while if at all. I'm not sure if hasn't had a chance to read them or it he just sees them as lower priority.
I don't think Walter has enough time to work on everybody's bug reports right away, so the best thing is to sell it well in the first post (with a small, repeatable complete program) and hope for the best.
Later, if I see someone post another bug that is similar or the same to my bug report, I like to point them to my original post URL and let them know, "yeah, I think it's a bug, too."

Sorry to hear that.
