Is it possible to compress DMD and DMC with http://www.7-zip.org/ instead
of plain ZIP? For example, the latest DMD release compresses down to
2.31 MB as a 7z archive instead of 3.72 MB as plain ZIP.
Would be nice for anyone with a dial-up modem internet connection.
(which means, me. ;-)

Billy,

why not use .rar files?

My question was aimed at the maintainers of the Digital Mars site. It would save me time and money if they provided smaller downloads. I'm not sure if they have a licensed copy of WinRAR so I suggested 7-ZIP which is free, increasingly popular, and compresses at least as good as RAR in most cases.
