I guess we can call it a hardware upgrade. The motherboard is having some "issues" right now, so I'll put some positive spin on it and throw in a memory upgrade, too.

I don't know when it will be back, but hopefully the new equipment will be available and installed this evening.

Sorry for the inconvenience...

I'm happy to do it, and will continue to endeavor to make it more reliable than it's been in recent months. Especially when 1.1.07 is coming.

Don't apologize. You give us this valuable resource, with all costs from your own pocket, and then apologize to us for doing what you must to make it even better? Doesn't make sense. :) Thank you, Brad. (Don't think I'd ever bothered to say that before. So I /do/ apologize.)

Hi Brad,
I'll rent a dedicated root server until the end of this year mostly because I need a remote database server (PostGreSQL, Hyperfile)

I am willing to share this Server with the D community in case that somebody interested. /share means 50%

Technical info : http://www.hetzner.de/rootserver_en.html *See DS 3000*

Thanks for the offer. However, I have a more permanent hosting arrangement in place, and will be moving to that environment before the end of the year (hopefully).

I want to join in with the others in thanking you for providing this invaluable service to the D community. It's because of such contributions like yours (and many others here) that D is taking off!

An update:

My friend in Houston (where the server is located) attempted to replace the failed motherboard with a new one, and found the memory the store recommended with the purchase was the wrong kind. He will attempt to fix this today.

After the end of the year, I will also be on-board with setting up some mirrors so the content is not too far out of reach.
