As it has been a while since I've seen an update on DIP 1009 I'd like to ask what the current status of it is: Has it been closed for feedback and the second stage (submission to language authors) been initiated (as [1] requires)?

I raised concerns, most of which have been addressed. Made one more pass and the proposal seems to be in good shape. I still have a few concerns that I'll raise when I get back from the road. -- Andrei
