While I don't know for sure, I would assume that there will be a new ICFP programming contest this year (probably again end of June).

Does anyone know more about that?

Our motivation last year was to show what miracles D can work.

That we failed wasn't D's fault. The team joined very late and
we were neither prepared for using the same tools (IRC, Wiki, CVS),
nor for the time zone problems with respect to task management.

While I'm not prepared to participate this year, I would support others to do so, by passing experiences.

I found some info.

http://www.cis.upenn.edu/proj/plclub/contest/
"On Friday 4th June at 12:00 noon EDT, the programming task will be published on this web site. Teams will have 72 hours to write and submit a program to perform this task."

Contest start: Friday June 4, 2004 - 12:00PM EDT (1600 GMT)
Contest finish: Monday June 7, 2004 - 12:00PM EDT (1600 GMT)

I'd like to be involved but after checking my schedule, it doesn't look like a good weekend for me as far as computer time goes. (Maybe I can squeeze some time in for the cause, but I can't commit.)

the ICFP contest 2006 starts tomorrow :
see http://icfpcontest.org/ !!!

Too bad I'll be in an airplane for about half the day and then lost in some
foreign city.
Wish much success to the (maybe) D-team !
