Dont know if thisis of nay interset to anyone, but I have found that
clicking the custom radio button in optimizations and checking all the tick
boxes shaved about 510kb of a wxapp compared with selecting either the speed
or size radio button with all the check boxes selected

Also probably not that great but shaved a further 3kb of size by manually editing makefile and changing the -5 to -6 and recompiling

hope someone else may find this of interest, the only downside is it took
another 2 seconds to compile
but ce la vie and all that
