That's a long issue. The bootstrap version has been upgraded to 2.088.1 (https://github.com/dlang/dmd/pull/10489). Can you confirm if this issue is still valid ? I'm building on Catalina without issue.

Looked at the trace again, and it's characteristic of an old mangling bug on OSX. closing as WORKSFORME.
