Hi,

Do you talk about ACE from Douglas Schmidt? If so, yes, we have done something about it but we didn't finish things yet because of some issues with the dmc compiler that needed more investigation.

Yes: Adaptive Communications Environment

Who are we?

What have you done?

What problems with the compiler arose?

Do you have work currently underway, or is it stalled?

Cheers

Matthew

Hi Andrew,

> Yes: Adaptive Communications Environment

Ok, there are more projects that are called ACE in the world

> Who are we?

I work for Remedy IT, we deliver commercial support for ACE/TAO and do a lot of porting work for ACE/TAO. See www.theaceorb.nl for our info

> What have you done?

We have started with the DMC port. The things we have done is in the ACE/TAO distribution but we didn't finish porting of ACE. We ran into some problems that need to be solved in the compiler.

> What problems with the compiler arose?

We got some internal errors. We have some work around but didn't want to apply them to the repo because it where issues that should have been solved in the compiler.

> Do you have work currently underway, or is it stalled?

We have not spend time on this. We would really like to see a compiler update first and porting things needs time and we need sponsoring for this kind of work.

If you need more info or want to discuss things in detail, contact me at jwillemsen@remedy.nl , I don't read these newsgroups often.
