Agreed.

Actually, I do indent by spaces in one respect: when breaking a long statement across two or more lines, subsequent lines are generally indented by two spaces in my style.  For the head of an if, for, while, etc., this two spaces becomes a tab followed by two spaces (thereby never on the same level as the body).

This is, AISI, perfectly harmless because there are, in general, no sublevels of such a thing.
