Greetings.

I am have a python script that I need to move to d.  How do I read a
binary file (say, c:\tmp\user.doc) and also how do I write a binary
file (say, c:\tmp\new.doc)?

I observed that std.stream.File and std.stream.BufferedFile *always* work in binary mode and you can't change that.  In your case that's a good thing.
