That's what made me cry when I learned C#.  Now I understand there are more reasons, but I have D and IDA Pro now.

It's the VM . Not that I have a problem with VM's but if I want to write in native code I have ASM, C++, or D really are my best choices. C# is a good language as languages go. It's the implementation that gets me.
