Chris Miller hooked us up with a great way to utilize irc, directly from almost any browser, with no setup at all ... just click on a link and you're on the Tango channel. How simple is that?

It has been added to the bottom of the Tango 'contact us' page (http://dsource.org/projects/tango/wiki/Contact), so please give it a try if you have Tango questions and need answers in a hurry. Actually, it's worth just trying out for fun too <g>

I don't suppose you're trying this from work and the site could be blocked?
