If they help to improve the WPF port, then its a good thing. This is good for Eclipse/SWT and also for MS if Eclipse runs fast and good looking on Vista.
Hopefully there is no hidden evil strategy behind that.

I agree. I just added the "for worse" (and wink) because I know that there can sometimes be general dislike for anything MS. But this is a good thing for swt (and MS) because it is important that it look and run well on all platforms, including MS ones. I doubt there is anything evil in the strategy. :)
