A lot of people like the Ruby language, but the universal complaint is that its too slow. I dont think its really that much slower than other scripting languages like Python or Perl, but it could use some speeding up, considering the language was originally designed by one guy in yacc. It would be really great if Walter could knock out a Ruby compiler of his own.
