I've used Google meet couple of times for developer talks. I actually like it more than zoom. Has a live caption for real-time caption. Helpful when talking to different people.

We use Google's video suite here. It works, but it drops to potato quality frequently. Probably wasn't an issue before corona, but they're clearly not dedicating enough server capacity for demand.

Not that it matters for just drinking beers I guess.

Tomorrow there will be an online NimConf: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxLL3km21Aw

Are there any plans for an online Dconf, or is DConf2020 definitely buried?

Yes, we're looking at doing DConf Online. I should be ready to make an announcement in the near future.

Slack supports video calls, but we've discovered a limit of around 15-20 participants. Which may not be a problem at all really. So perhaps the dlang Slack is going to be the best place to do this.

Brave browser nightly now comes with video calling built in. They took Jitsi and removed telemetry and changed room key to 43 chars so harder to guess. I haven't played with it much yet though.

I'm nearly weaned off the Novaminsulfon/Ibuprofen/Paracetamol, but I can just drink water... :-)

I've just realized that you meant next weekend (beginning 27th), I will be ready to join by that time. Not quite on the same level as you though, however, being an Aussie, I probably wouldn't able to anyway... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJ9JymhVEeQ&t=1462

Google might be the easiest but we're unimpressed with the quality lately so multi-platform suggestions (yes, that also includes mobile phones) would be welcome.

Will be nice to have something like this at least once a month.
