In the following bug report it's highlighted that rdmd renames directories if they share the same name as the output file.

https://issues.dlang.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13758

Is there a consensus of opinion on what rdmd should do in this situation? i.e. should it raise an error and fail? Should there be a switch to enable this behaviour?

Personally I think it *should* fail and report the name clash. The switch should not implemented.

Agreed. It should just fail.

Please have it fail. Preapproved. -- Andrei
