Congrats! It's fantastic that we have a D book of this quality, which is free. Superb work.

Very nice piece of work. Thank you! The PDF version seems not to have a table of contents. Would be really helpful if it had :-).

it's like yesterday. i remember reading your original post for the ddili web site and you beginning a turkish book on d which was actually the first initiative on spreading d to a wider and different community and me trying to talk you out of translating the book into english. :-)

i'd like to congratulate and thank you for all the hard work you've done. you've been a great teacher and master for me and all turkish d users.

p.s. for readers in san francisco, ali loves coffee of four barrel. :-)

That's a big typo! :) You talked me *into* translating the book. (To be honest, Andrei had to give me a little push as well, right after a talk he gave where I work.)

Yeah, we should have started our monthly D meetings already. Andrei, Sean, and I were at what could have become a monthly gathering but it disappeared probably because summer happened. I know that there are at least a dozen D people here in Silicon Valley who could attend. I also know that Vic is trying to start something as well, or at least trying to increase the number of D programmers in the valley. ;)

Congrats!! Where's the dlang.org pull request featuring the book prominently in the documentation section?

There's a pending pull request [1] to forward visitors to the list of D books on the wiki [2] giving equal weight to all D books, including Ali's.

If this is not what you want, please say so so we know to do something different.

BTW ever thought about uploading it to a site like http://www.lulu.com ? Then people could buy hard copies, etc.
