It sounds like you have Tiger, but didn't meet the Xcode 2.2 requirement
(it is necessary to upgrade the Xcode Tools, from the "bundled" version)

The Mac OS X "Installer.app" does not come with an Uninstall feature...

But the list of the installed files can be viewed with:
lsbom -s /Library/Receipts/GDC.pkg/Contents/Archive.bom
