Building GDC with Apple's GCC.

I'm wondering if anyone can contribute experience building GDC using
Apple's GCC v3.3 as included with 10.3.x?
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/DeveloperTools/gcc-3.3/gcc/Source-Code.html
has information on how to get Apple's version of GCC. Brian Hammond wrote
about this back in April but I don't see any details on whether he
succeeded in doing this or not ... if this is possible I'd like to do it
and potentially provide a binary distribution of the compiled gdc that
could be easily overlaid on-top of OSX.

Does anyone else provide a binary package of GDC for OSX?

It's not possible to build against Apple's GCC due to some of Apple's changes mixing language-dependent and language-independent code. However, building against the GNU sources works just fine.

As to a binary, I used to have one hosted on my server. I'll look and see if it's still there and get back to you about it.

Yup, I still have a binary at:

http://resistor.dyndns.org/gdc.tar.bz2

Go easy on my bandwidth, as that's hosted off my cable modem. ;)
