For a bit of fun and prompted by a thread requesting such, i've created a few visualisation videos generated from D repositories by Gource.

Thanks for spending the time to make them :)
It's totally trivial but worth to see, mostly dmd and Phobos.

Cool stuff, thanks for taking the time to do this!

The animations are super-fast, it makes it hard to see what's going on but it's still fun. I wonder what that sudden branch explosion was in DMD, maybe some code which was committed but just never used (the C++ unit-test library, perhaps?). Hmm.. :)

Yeah, one of my first rendering clocked in at 20mins which gave you more of a flavour of what was actually happening but was booooring, lol. So i compressed them all to be about 4 minutes. :)

I'd love to see an animation like in a game, say Crimsonland. The contributors would be the players with the guns, the issues resolved would be enemies, and the bullets would be the individual commits. That would be fun to watch. :P

i think it's more like some RTS: contributors building the base which is constantly attacked by bugs. ;-)

Yeah, the thing that shows up on the right was cppunit. Then after a couple of years of no activity, bam it's gone!

I would love to see a graph with all the blocked issues and their dependencies.
