I don't remember seeing this formally announced yet. So I'll announce it myself.

I noticed that "TobiasWassermann" edited the DocComments/Intro page at Wiki4D (http://www.prowiki.org/wiki4d/wiki.cgi?DocComments/Intro) to make an announcement of sorts: "In November a german D-Book will be released. Can you put it on the intro page beside the advice for the japanese book? The title will be "Programmieren in D", ISBN: 978-3939084693".

I found the book listed at Amazon.de: http://www.amazon.de/Programmieren-D-Tobias-Wassermann/dp/3939084697

Here's some German from that page (which I don't know how to read)...

Produktbeschreibungen
Kurzbeschreibung

And an English translation (by Google Translate)...

Just to be clear: the above is a different book, written by Manfred Hansen and counting 140 pages. The book on Amazon is written by Tobias Wassermann and Christian Speer, counting 230 pages.

Bastiaan.

Thanks for the announcement.

I think, the publisher will also bring out a translated english version of the book if it sells good in the Germany (and also Austria and Switzerland).

Are there any English books about D? (It's quite difficult to search just for D)

Try searching for "D language" or "D programming language".

There's a books page on the wiki so I added it there:
