D got mentioned as well.

It was an odd succession of events that ultimately had Walter, Scott, and myself live at ProTV's morning news.

Walter gives great advice to starting programmers. Here's the video (use Google Translate for the text).

Wow, you're celebrities :-P This is nice publicity!

Off topic: I was surprised that this website doesn't use any diacritics, even though it is completely in Romanian. Is this usual practice?

Just a note: the guy in red suit (George Buhnici?), looks like you Andrei. :)

Yep, Walter and Scott figured there's an ethnic look to Romanians. In particular they say I have a "Romanian mobster" look going. -- Andrei

We had a great time, and the Romanian people we met couldn't have been nicer to us. Romania is a very beautiful country, and having Andrei as our guide was an opportunity not to be missed!

Of course they were nice, after all you had a 'Romanian mobster' with you :-)

Ok, let's try it: His name is Andrei Alexandrescu - and is famous as "novel from Facebook".

That's because they don't use diacritics:
romanul = the novel
românul = the Romanian

So diacritical marks are critical.

I guess this is an other reason all software dealing with text should use Unicode and not ASCII, EBCDIC,…
